The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Regulation 4 – This course covers an
overview of the duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises as specified in
CAR 2012.


To provide the delegate with an understanding of the requirements & legislations of
Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos 2012 with particular reference to the Duty
Holder & Duty to Manage, as well as guidance to Asbestos Surveys, Risk
Assessments, Registers and Managements plans.

Prior Knowledge

Candidates will be required to take the NATAS Asbestos Awareness Online course
prior to the course commencing and also have a understanding of the subject.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone with duties under Regulation 4 of CAR 2012 - Management of Asbestos in
Non-Domestic Premises. People have duties if they are responsible for repair or
maintenance of non-domestic premises or access to them. This can include
employers, self-employed people and building owners. The course is also suitable
for landlords with similar responsibilities for managing risks from asbestos in rented
domestic premises.


Providing candidates have undertaken NATAS Asbestos Awareness Course and all
delegates have previously received asbestos training, the course duration can be
kept to one (1) day duration.
