Who is this course suitable for?

Welcome to this introductory course on fire safety awareness.

This course is designed to teach delegates about the risks of fire in the workplace. Fires can have devastating consequences for workplaces, from damage to death. It is therefore vital that they are prevented wherever possible. This course will cover legal responsibilities, how to prevent fires in the workplace, common causes of fires, emergency procedures and safety measures that should be in place.

Course Outline

This course will give you an overview of fire safety. It is split into four sections:

  1. Introduction to fire safety (what it is, how it is implemented in the workplace, and what the legal responsibilities are for employers and employees)
  2. Fire safety law and fire safety risk assessments
  3. Fire safety measures
  4. Emergency plans and evacuation procedures

By the end of the course, you will have a grounding in all of these areas.

What is the pass mark for the assessment?

The pass mark is 80%

Delegates must obtain 80% to pass the course online, which is the equivalent of 2 wrong answers. Any delegates that did not obtain 80% have 3 attempts to resit and pass the course, delegates that have no passed after 3 attempts must purchase an additional license

This course will take you approximately 90 minutes to complete. You can take the course online at your convenience and do not need to complete it in a single session. The course is designed that you must follow and complete each section before moving to the next. You can go back and review completed sections.
